Businesses I support

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of crossing paths with certain people and businesses that have left a lasting impact on my life. These are individuals and organizations I wholeheartedly stand behind—people with purpose, integrity, and a genuine desire to leave the world better than they found it.

Many of these businesses are dedicated to supporting human or animal lives, while others are simply run by remarkable people who make a meaningful difference in the communities around them.

I’m grateful to know them, and I’m honored to share their work with you. If something here resonates with you, I encourage you to check them out and consider supporting them.

COFFEE WITH HEART.
Manhatten Beach, CA

With a coffee shop on nearly every corner in Los Angeles, what makes Pure Bean so different?

The people. The heart. The atmosphere.

The decadence. And their love for God.

I found myself at Pure Bean during a tumultuous season of my life, and I left with something I never expected: new friends who felt like family. At Pure Bean, you’re not treated like just another order in line.

You’re approached as a person with intrinsic, God-given value.

The staff doesn’t just care about making your drink or food item right—they care about making a positive imprint on your day.

Yes, I worked here for a short stint. No, I was not a very good barista.

But working there allowed me to see something most customers never get to see: the heart behind the counter. I witnessed firsthand how intentional they are with both their staff and their customers.

I saw their commitment to ethical practices, their dedication to the best coffee I'd ever tasted, and the genuine care they show every person who walks through the door.

I fumbled my way through drink orders alongside some of the kindest, most compassionate people I’ve ever met—people who truly care about their work, their customers, and curating an atmosphere that can change someone’s day… and sometimes even their life.

Not near Manhattan Beach? No worries. Pure Bean also has a location in Idyllwild, California, and you can order their coffee beans directly from their website.

Even better, their mission goes far beyond coffee.

Pure Bean gives 10% of its profits to partners around the world who are helping orphans and children living in extreme poverty—restoring hope and a future to the isolated and forgotten.

A great cup of coffee can brighten your day.

But a place with heart can change even more than that.

Did You Know?

That most traditional horse fly sprays are actually considered pesticides—and that you’re supposed to apply them while wearing gloves and a mask?

Imagine my face when I discovered that after more than twenty years of spraying fly spray straight into my hands so I could rub it over Cartier’s face… or the number of times I stood downwind and inhaled it myself! That realization sent me searching for a safer alternative, and that’s when I found CoutureHorses.

They quickly became the brand I trusted for all things grooming—and glam—when I still had Cartier. Their products are made with all-natural, non-toxic ingredients that are safe for both horse and rider, and they’re proudly ethical with no animal testing.

Beyond being safe, they bring a little fun and sparkle to grooming time, combining practical care with a touch of glitz and glam. And I have to say—they make the best-smelling fly spray, shampoo, and conditioner I’ve ever used. More importantly, their products left Cartier’s mane and coat unbelievably soft, healthy, and shining in the sun.

We don't just capture images. We capture imaginations.

No, this is not AI.

What you’re seeing is the result of hundreds of hours of photography skill, artistic vision, and meticulous Photoshop expertise coming together to create some of the most breathtaking imagery I’ve ever seen. Belly of the Whale Photography captures real moments and transforms them into visual stories that feel both magical and deeply human.

Blending fine-art photography with cinematic digital compositing, each image becomes something more than a photograph—it becomes a scene from a story.

Lantern-lit wanderers in snowy forests, children reading in enchanted woods, or figures standing peacefully beside wild animals. The result feels like something lifted straight from a fairy tale, epic adventure, or illustrated novel.

Through careful lighting, painterly color grading, and masterful Photoshop compositing, separate photographs of people, animals, and landscapes are seamlessly woven together into a single, believable moment.

The artist behind the lens, Jerry Dillon, along with his wife Sunny and their family, are not only dear friends of mine but also beloved members of the community in Sequim, Washington. Their kindness and warmth shine through every image.

If you’re looking for a photographer who can bring imagination and vision to life, look no further.

In a time when AI imagery is everywhere, Belly of the Whale Photography is a reminder of what true artistry and authenticity looks like.
